He is an Independent Director of Padma Islami Life Insurance Ltd. He is the Chairman of Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC). He obtained his Ph.D. in Marketing in the year 2003 from Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics in Germany University of Osnabruck and M.Com in Marketing at Dhaka University. He is member of different professional societies (i.e. Bangladesh Marketing Association, Bangladesh Economic Association etc.)
